MSA TYPE TEAR TAPES
This type of tear tapes uses monoaxially-orientated polypropylene (MOPP) as base film. The high tensile strength of this film makes our tear tapes ideal for:
- High speed packaging applications like cigarette making
- Heavy-duty applications like opening of courier envelopes, corrugated carton boxes and multi layered paper bags/sacks
Our MSA tear tapes are available:
- Width: 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 5.0mm, and 6.0mm
- Thickness: 26µm and 60µm
- Length: maximum 100km (depending on width, thickness and length of tape)
- Printability: Yes (color or text messages)
- Wound on: Core IDs of 30mm, 76mm or 152mm
SA TYPE TEAR TAPES
This is a self adhesive type and uses polyester (PET) as base film. SA tear tapes are suitable for medium to low speed packaging applications. We can do microprinting to enhance brand security.
Our SA tear tapes are available:
- Width: 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 5.0mm, and 6.0mm
- Thickness: 25µm and 38µm
- Length: maximum 100km (depending on width, thickness and length of tape)
- Printability: Yes (color or text messages)
- Wound on: Core IDs of 30mm, 76mm or 152mm
HM TYPE TEAR TAPES
Like the SA Type, the HM Type also uses PET as base film. One side of the tear tape has a layer of hot melt coating on it that requires 125-135 degrees C to seal to the overwrap (packaging) film.
HM tear tapes are used mainly in the packaging of FMCG products from condoms to food to confectionery.

- Width: 1.5mm 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.0mm
- Thickness: 25µm and 38µm
- Length: maximum 8km (depending on width & thickness of tape)
- Printability: Yes (color or text messages)
- Wound on: Core IDs of 30mm, Flanged Bobbin
